A nice end to spring break was....

SNOW!!! Yes, you read that right. When looking out my window on the last day of Spring Break, I saw a fesh pile of snow on the ground. And today, I was out playing tennis today wearing shorts and a t-shirt in nice seventy-degree weather. Yep, that's Texas for ya. But anyway, I liked the snow because I was able to wear my warm, comfy cute pea coat one last time beofre it was to be hidden back in my closet. Next, denim shorts and swimsiuts!

$7.50 shoes!!! What?!?!?!?

OK, so I went shopping again today( I'm not an addict, it's just spring break and I have time) and bought the shoes pictured for like $7.50. Aren't they just simply ah-dorable? I don't think I'll wear them to school yet because, well, people in my school don't wear fancy footwear like that. But, I'll show them off any time I can!
P.S. if you take the heels of f them , don't they kind of look like bowling shoes? just a thought.

Went shopping in Allen today, but wasn't genuinely excited about any of the clothes. All the boutiques were for like 35+ women. I'm not dissing that age, but the clothes are definitely not my style. A plus: I got these really cute earrings for a buck. Yes, read that again. A buck. Awesome, I know! Side note: A good reason to see Alice in Wonderland is because of the costume designs. They're detailed very well and have a lot of bright colors. My favorite costume is Alice's dresses when she is in, well, Wonderland. It's a light blue dress with spaghetti straps, but the best part is on top is a huge flower made out of ribbon. Another dress she wears would look like a Goth dress, except that it's red and has black lace as part of the skirt, and would make for an awesome prom dress if Alice were in the 21st century. Don't forget to read my older posts!

If malls mean walking around, then is shopping exercise?

Spring Break means shopping, shopping, shopping, which I did yesterday and then promptly dropped.
Unfortunately, eating+ ice skating,(<3)>= less time, so I only go tto shop in Forever 21. But, that also happens to be my favorite store! The picture to the right shows the awesome shirt and shorts I bought, paired with a tan vest of mine. Cute, right? Can't wait until school starts so I can premier my they-still-smell-like-the-store clothes. Tomorrow is St. Patty's Day, so don't forget to wear green. I, always trying to be above the norm(or accidentally wearing my green T-shirt today), will dig around in my closet to see if I can find a green bandanna. Some other cute items to wear instead of a plain tee: green shoes, green scarf, green jewelry, green socks with shorts/capris, green bel,t green pants, green nail/toe polish, or better yet, paint yourself green.

I love Sundays, because I can actually wear cute skirts and dresses to church that I can't wear at my school because of a stupid no above-knee rule. Wearing them to church also allows a more diverse venue of people able to see the outfits I can create by myself! Pictured above is the outfit I wore today, which consists of a dress and tights from Forever 21(best store eva!!), a red belt from deep down in my closet, and my mom's old Coel Haan(mine now) shoes which are so adorable and trendy, and surprisingly, in good shape! I was actually kind of shocked when she brought them to me, because I thought she had given them away a long time ago. Now I have another pair of shoes to add to my plethora in my (and my sister's) closet. Two thumbs up!
Side note: Last week during Paris fashion week, some designers, including Marc Jacobs, used more fuller (body)models on the catwalks, which received praised from many critics. I thought this was extremely cool because many girls think that only if they're skinny are they pretty, which is not true. However a certain designer, Karl Lagerfield, the head designer of Chanel, obviously does not want to send this message. Six months ago when people criticized him for using very skinny models, he responded," No one wants to see round women." What a statement! " No one wants to see round women." We see them all the time! Everywhere you go, be it work, school, shopping, etc., you see round women because duh, we're women! We have curves. Main point: Mr. Lagerfield needs to come back to reality.

Fashion Career Send-Off

Since the budding trees are giving a spring gift to Earth, I've decided to give a gift to you: My blog!!!!! I'm so extremely excited because technically this is the start of my happily dreamed/planned fashion career. And even though I can't work at Teen Vogue till another, oh, couple of years, I might as well start here. It better turn out okay.Maybe one day when I'm finally in NYC a person connected to the fashion business world will see my name and say, "Oh, you're the girl who's post I so ardently read every single God-given day because of her wit and fashionistic ideas!" whatever. I love being able to show my dramatic flair.:) But, I'll keep on dreaming.
Signing off,
